Small Groups

Our small groups study different topics, helping us grow in understanding of our faith. Sometimes we study the Bible, often using study guides. Often we choose other topics, and apply what we have learned to our lives. Groups are supportive and are mostly open to new members. We grow together in fellowship in our Christian faith.

Times of meeting and leaders:

Tuesday morning (weekly – 10.30am): Joy Wilson (face-to-face at home) This is a caring group focussing on supporting each other with a short study each week.

Wednesday morning (fortnightly – 10am): Pam Horne (Zoom) This is a group where members are encouraged to contribute to ideas for sessions, and to plan and lead a session. Topics are many and various.

Wednesday afternoon (weekly – 3pm): Angela Horder (face-to-face in church) This group often uses study guides based on a Bible topic.

Thursday morning (weekly – 9.30 am): Revd Keith Town (Zoom Bible Study) This group works its way through books of the Bible with in-depth explanation by Keith. Questions are encouraged.

Thursday evening (weekly – 7.30pm): Angela Horder (Zoom). This is an inter-church group studying Bible passages.

If you would like to find out more, contact the group leader at church.

Pilgrims Book Group

This idea started in the autumn of 2021 by Rev Gordon Gresswell. We have had two series of sessions so far. A book is chosen to study over a series of 3 or 4 weekly sessions. Ice breakers and question starters are used to encourage people to discuss the book, and lots of other things. So far, we have read HumanKind by Rutger Bregman and Faith After Doubt by Brian McClaren. Pilgrims has proved to be very popular and the next book series will be in autumn 2022.
