‘Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence’
Martin Farquhar Tupper
Structured daily prayer is a time-honoured way of creating a life with God, of deepening our walk with Him. It is a little discipline that helps us walk the narrow way to life (Matt 7:14).
Commit to follow it for a month – whether you feel like it or you don’t. The practice of stopping and breathing, of being intentionally in God’s presence, has proved useful to Christians for thousands of years as they seek God’s presence in their daily lives. Saying set prayers repeatedly on a regular basis can help the truth they contain to go from our lips into our hearts.
