Luncheon Club

Thursday Chepstow Community Lunches are provided by volunteers, at the Methodist Church Hall?

Would you or perhaps someone you know like to come?

Each Thursday, around 30 - 40 'elderly' ladies and gentlemen sit down together for a three -course lunch at 12.30, prepared, cooked and served by teams of volunteers. Recently the numbers lunching have reduced and we have prepared and cooked more food than necessary and find we have spare seats.

Many people come regularly and get to know each other over  time - we especially welcome those of retired-age who live on their own and would appreciate a three-course home cooked meal and some company.

Tickets can be bought each Thursday, from about 10.30, cost £4.50, and everyone is served, table by table, at 12.30 (leaving you time for shopping or attending the short service in the Church).

Do call at the Hall (Behind M&S and the Bus station)) one Thursday morning, stay for a meal or just have a look, or telephone Lynda Ker (625711) Pauline Davies (625896) or Sandy Dickson (629488) for further information.

Unfortunately some of our volunteers have moved away, retired or have other commitments, and our rota has gaps, so we urgently need more helpers - not all are ladies!

PLEASE could you help for about 3 hours one Thursday a month, in school term time, with the Chepstow Lunch Club, organised by Churches Together, at the Methodist Church Hall?

For further information contact Sandy, Lynda or Pauline on the numbers above.
