In 2016 “Hope in Christ Ministry” built a clinic building with the vision of providing medical care for the children at the orphanage/school and people in the adjacent Chipata shanty compound; it can take locals several hours walking to get to other medical facilities. After generous support from “Partners Across the Miles”to provide a borehole for fresh water, electricity, fittings, cement & paint for the walls, basic equipment and a Government Health License the Clinic opened on February 3rd 2017.

The Clinic is staffed by Heyfort Kasakula the clinician & manager with a team of four providing nursing & administration support and is a joint venture between Hope in Christ & other Churches in the Chipata compound. In September 2018 Heyfort was fully funded by Vision Aid Overseas, Zambia on a six week “Refraction Training Course” which will equip him with the skills to both test eyes & identify eye disease & conditions.

The every day challenges are to meet the ongoing costs of staffing and providing the clinic with equipment & medicine.

Please visit our Funding Projects page if you would like to help.
